Job Purpose
We are currently recruiting for a energetic transport administration assistant for a three month FTC.
The successful candidate will have 3 to 4 years of general transport operations and knowledge of container movement experience within a road transportation company.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualification
- Matric
- A qualification in transport management will be advantageous
Experience
- 3 – 4 years within a transport operation
- Knowledge of container movement
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and organising
- Assist with client updates with regards to their deliveries
- Driver communication
- Ensure relevant and correct documentation is handed to the driver prior to each upliftment
- Ensure all driver trip sheets, POD’s are scrutinised for any damages, deliveries not done
- Liaise with loading and off-laoding sites with regards to any delays that may be faced
2. Administration
- Scrutinize delivery notes and report ay damages, discrepancies to your superior
- Update all relevant systems and assist with TMS capturing
- Assist with sub-contractor POD management and load-cons.
- Assist with the scanning and emailing of POD’s
- Assist with briefing and de-briefing of drivers
