Role Outline

To carry out duties to agreed level of performance and contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes in the Warehouse. To manage and control all incoming and outgoing stock by meeting operational standards and procedures. To ensure all documentation is collected, collated and accurately presented according to the Company’s procedures and standards, confirming received goods through an excellent customer

 Key Relationships

Consistently achieve established key performance indicators for productivity, accuracy and housekeeping.

Controlling of bookings by recording delivery requirements from Principals on a daily receiving control sheet.

Ensures accurate / correct checks with the blind tally sheets and the delivery documentation.

Ensures all discrepancies arising from receipts are communicated to the respective sending depots, either by telephone or email.

Generate labels and summary labels, and the issuing of the labels.

Attaches the summary labels to the delivery documentation.

Signs off transporters documentation accepting receipt of loads.

Signs off the pallet documentation and endorses the number of pallets received.

Reports all issues and problems to the respective Supervisors and Controllers.

Summarize all daily vehicles received and despatched onto the Vehicle Register.

Reconcile consignment stock quantities to checkers blind tally and carry out recounts for all discrepancies.

Sign all relevant documentation with regard to consignments i.e. delivery notes, Chep document, security seal document etc.

Ensure that the correct pallet license labels are applied to correct pallets of stock received.

Ensure all stock discrepancies are investigated and counter signed by the driver.

Appropriately investigate and correct all receiving discrepancies and exception reports.

Update KPI’s.

Ensuring of zero damages to incoming loads.

Active participation in stock take planning, preparation and physical count.

Adhere to the units SHE rules and best practice.

Ensure the product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised.

Report any persons behaviour that may impact on the safety, quality or integrity of the stored product

Qualifications

Grade 12 / Matric – Essential

1 -2 years’ experience

Tertiary qualification (Logistics / business) – Desirable

Skills/Competencies/Experiences

Literacy and Numeracy

Excellent Interpersonal skills

Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules

Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions

Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations

Must be prepared to complete tasks before leaving for home or taking tea/lunch breaks

Windows, E-mail & Accounting package proficiency

Knowledge & Experience of the SAP WM System

Good follow through & General Efficiency

Ability to work within a team

Windows, E-mail & Accounting package proficiency

Good follow through & General Efficiency

Writing skills

Excellent Interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure

Languages
