JOB PURPOSE

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance and breakdown support for onsite Surface and Underground Favorsea Products and Systems

  • Ensure inspection and maintenance is carried out as per Favorsea minimum requirements or client’s specifications.
  • Ensure that all quality control procedures are followed.
  • Assist client with accident investigation.
  • Assist Senior Service Technician with their duties when task to do so.
  • Timeous fault finding on break downs or installations done and system inspection.
  • Manage critical spare and submit report to Senior Technician and to client.
  • Liaise and distribute all agreed work schedules with relevant client officials and Favorsea officials.
  • Ensure inspection and maintenance carried out according to Favorsea standards or the mine schedule, specification, and requirements.
  • Ensure breakdowns and advanced technical problems are identified and resolved within reasonable time-frame.
  • Installation of all Favorsea Product and systems
  • Ensure correct hardware and software is installed as per client requirement.
  • Manage requirements of mine management software
  • Accurate completion of job cards (Fault Finding, time keeping, serial numbers, signature of all parties)
  • Plan and execute installations, service, and maintenance.
  • Conduct monthly toolbox inspection.
  • Compile, daily, weekly, and monthly site reports
  • Assist in accurate monthly invoicing of labour, installations, maintenance, and overtime

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS, INTERNAL STANDARDS AND CLIENT STANDARDS

  • Sound knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Adhere to working times and overtime according to BCEA requirements.
  • Ensure accurate Site Acceptance Test (SAT) carried out after installation and is according to the mine schedule, specification, and requirement
  • Compliance to workshop specific legal inspections and requirements
  • Ensure compliance of client standards & legal requirements on products and services provided are adhered to.
  • Adhere to company vehicle policy.
  • Ensure compliance of Safety, Health and Environmental Management and requirements.
  • Adhere to healthy, safe operations and practices.
  • Compliance with all applicable SHE policies and procedures

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Electrical Trade Test/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite)
  • Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Flameproof and Gas Testing Certificate advantageous
  • Compulsory Medical Assessment pass
  • Complete in-house Skills Test
  • Drivers Licence and Own reliable transport
