Location: Wonderkop Smelter, North West
The practical workplace experiential program provides work experience to students who have successfully completed all the theory components as per tertiary institution requirements to allow them graduate.
The program is composed of practical work exposure for period of 6 months for a P1 or 6 months for P2 placement.
P1/P2 Workplace Experience Program available for the following disciplines:
• Metallurgical Engineering – 29936
• Chemical Engineering – 29937
• Electrical Engineering – 29938
• Electrical Process Control (Instrumentation) – 29939
In this role will be responsible for:
• The incumbent will enter a work integrated program with MQA and will obtain working experience in their qualification discipline at Glencore Wonderkop Smelter.
• Undergoing practical training and exposure at the premises of the company, and
• Comply with the company’s HSEC system.
About you:
• Completed S4 theory component of the qualification at a tertiary institution and only need the practical workplace experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer Literacy (Microsoft computer packages)
• Proficient in English
• Medically fit in terms of OHS Act, and
• Knowledge of HSEC Systems
