For the 2024 academic year, Gold One is offering Learner Miner Opportunities as detailed below.
Eligibility for consideration
(Candidates must provide police-certified copies of all qualifications and a copy of Identity Document)
• Grade 11 or Equivalent with Maths and Science
• Interpersonal communication skills are required and essential
• Flexibility is required and essential (able to work rotation of shifts)
• Must be able to work underground
• South African Citizenship
• Clear Criminal Record
• Must be 18 years and or above
Advantageous to have
• Competency “B” and “A”
• Underground experience in stoping and development
• Trackless mine background
• Having worked as a team leader on both stoping and development
Personal attributes
• Eager to learn and self-driven individual
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
• Team player and be able to work independently
Note This position will require the successful candidate to be declared fit by our OHP
Key performance areas
• Adhere to and comply with Mine Health and Safety Standards and Regulations
• Successfully complete all theoretical and practical modules related to Learnership
