The Kouga Local Municipality hereby invites applications from suitably qualified persons for appointment in the following vacancies: INTERNSHIP: VAROUS DEPARTMENTS

Position: Internship Programme

Stipend: R4 000 per month

Closing date: 19 January 2024 at 12:00.

(Preference will be given to applicants permanently residing within the Kouga Municipal Area)

REQUIREMENTS:
• Computer literate.
• Must be between the age of 18 – 35 years.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in at least two of the official languages in Kouga Municipality (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa).

The intern will sign an internship agreement in addition to an employment contract. The effect of the agreement is to ensure commitment to the programme which requires, amongst others, full participation in the education and workplace assignments and observance of policies and procedures.

Disqualification:
Please note that the following can lead to disqualification:
1. Non-submission of originally certified copies of academic records.
2. Canvassing of councillors.
3. Submission of fraudulent qualifications and/ or documents.

NB: Please note that shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a vetting process. By applying for this position, the candidates agree to background checks being performed.

Preference will be given to applicants residing within the Kouga area of jurisdiction.
