Introduction

An exciting opportunity exists for a General Assistant in the Coast West area based in Bellville.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the rendering of a quality service, which is effective and efficient, and meets and exceeds expectations and requirements.Critical Outputs

1. QUALITY 

  • Participate in the Life Health Solutions Quality, Health, and Safety programme
  • Live quality principles
  • Assist where possible with control of budget
  • Ensure utilisation of correct cleaning materials
  • Assist with Stock Count where required
  • Maintain storeroom to required standard
  • Adhere to all company, legal, statutory and professional requirements 
  • Filing of Employee records
  • 100% Compliance of ISO and LHS standards
  • Ensure responsible Time Keeping
  • Adhere to all deadlines
  • Ensure the timeous submission of Leave forms and Sick leave forms
  • Assist staff in maintaining a safe environment for LHS’ employees
  • Ensure correct medical disposal containers are used
  • Ensure 100% compliance of Soiled Linen procedure
  • Ensure 100% adherence to all SHEQ/ISO/company requirements

2. CLINIC HYGIENE MAINTENANCE

  • Ensure hygiene and cleanliness of clinic venues as per a cleaning schedule and instruction from OHNP in charge
  • Maintain and replacing hygiene consumable items
  • Ensure clinic vehicles are kept clean and hygienic

3. DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING

  • Identify training needs annually and participate in training programmes
  • Keep up to date with developments by attendance at regional meetings and ongoing personal development 
  • Sharing expertise and experience with colleagues

4. TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT

  • Adhere to the policies, quality standards and procedures as set as part of Life Health Solutions Quality Management programme
  • Participate in the annual clinic audits and implement action plans
  • To participate in the continual review of all clinic operations to ensure quality standards are maintained and developed
  • To participate in ISO 9001:2015 Certification and audit programme
  • To participate in Quality Team Projects

5. MARKETING

  • Ensure that LHS is presented as a professional organisation at all times.
  • Representation at LHS’ functions and other conferences.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Experience in cleaning and general assistant duties
