Midvaal Local Municipality is seeking qualified and motivated individuals to apply for the role of General Worker: Auxiliary Services.

Salary: R151 260,00 p.a. – R165 708,00 p.a. (Level 13 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)
Total package inclusive of all benefits: R280 339.52 p.a.
Location: Meyerton, South Africa

REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 10.
- Grade 12 (added advantage).
- Driver’s License (added advantage).
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (must be bilingual).
- Ability to follow & execute given instructions.
- Good physical health, basic skill & know how of doing physical work.
- A hard-working self-disciplined person.
- Must reside within the jurisdiction of Midvaal Local Municipality.
- 1-year relevant experience in auxiliary services (general work, cleaner, handyman, maintenance of halls) within Midvaal Local Municipality or a local government authority.
DUTIES
- Responsible for cleaning of offices, bathrooms, stockroom, and the kitchen and ensure a clean & healthy working environment for employees and the public.
- Serve tea and coffee to the visitors of the department.
- Preparation of venue for meeting by cleaning, putting out water decanters and glasses, and refreshments.
- Assist with general office administration duties, when working schedule is complete.
- Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.
Please note that the municipality does reimburse costs for traveling to and from the interview or any assessments related to the recruitment process for candidates traveling over 400km for position on job levels 1 to 4.
