Netcare invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Receptionist to be based at Mulbarton Hospital, Gauteng.

Role summary
The incumbent will be responsible for promote improved operational performance and patient care experience through quality delivery of services and patient interaction, by subscribing to the highest level of integrity and professionalism. Engage relevant stakeholders to ensure that operational efficiencies are coordinated to improve patient outcomes.

Key work output and accountabilities

  • Attend to all patients, doctors and visitors needs within the professional and legislative boundaries provided.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the reception area and doctors rooms for each working day before and after the consults. Have all front desk activities fully operation at the start of business hours.
  • Assist patients to accurately complete appropriate forms and documents for the required information.
  • Capture admission and discharge information of patients in a professional, friendly and timorous manner, focusing on patient, visitor and doctor needs.
  • Identify financial risks pro-actively and communicate these to the patient and internal risk chain as per protocol
  • Collect payments according to protocols and prepare financial registers daily, accountable for receipting functions as per policy.
  • Handle and manage the continuous flow of information between doctor’s rooms, patient, medical schemes, MHC’s and other service providers.
  • Maintain administrative records on the system and report statistics monthly when required.
  • General administration as will be required from time to time.
  • Make bed bookings and have ability to handle difficult customers

Education

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification

Work experience

  • Previous reception experience, preferably in a hospital environment is an advantage.
  • SAP ISH experience will be an advantage.
