DEPARTMENT: INFRASTRUCTURE AND PUBLIC WORKS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Basic numeracy and literacy
- Minimum of six (6) months relevant experience.
- Previous experience in landfill sites, preference will be given to candidates who previously worked at Curry’s Post Landfill site.
KNOWLEDGE
- Performs basic, routine functions.
- The ability to understand and follow basic instructions and be held accountable for task accomplishment.
INHERENT REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSTS
- Able-bodied, and Pre-medical check-ups required.
- Required to work in all weather conditions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning, refuse removal, general unskilled and semi-skilled duties
- Undertake refuse removal function by gathering refuse bags for pick up by truck/van, loading van /truck, and clearing spillages.
- Cleaning the weighbridge as per the requirements and instructions of the team leader.
- Clean and sanitise the Landfill Site ablutions.
- Ensures that tools are secured, stored, and used according to specifications.
- Interact with co-workers to coordinate work and interact with supervisors to receive work assignments.
