The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is looking for a self-motivated individual to perform the day-to-day landscaping and reserve maintenance to sustain a picturesque appearance of the public areas and reserve.
This position requires a Grade 10 or equivalent qualification at NQF 2 with 2 years of work experience in the relevant field, or Grade 12
or equivalent qualification at NQF 4 with 1 year of work experience in the relevant field of horticultural and garden maintenance. A Higher
Education Qualification or equivalent qualification at NQF 5 will be an added advantage.
The following competencies are required for the candidate to be successful in this position: knowledge in basic building, paving, kerb
installation, and Horticultural motorised equipment e.g. Chain saw, Ride on lawn mower; Brush-cutter etc.
Key Performance Responsibilities include:
- Estate maintenance, planning and development;
- Ensure machine and equipment care;
- Ensure maintenance Garden pathways and trails;
- Render customer service; and
- Adhere to compliance.
