POSITION: SUPERVISOR: PARKS & SPORTSGROUND (HOPEFIELD)

Minimum requirements:
- Grade10
- Valid Code C1 with valid PRDP
- 1-2 years municipal parks, sport ground & open spaces supervisor experience
- Good communication skills in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
Duties will entail:
- Supervise sub-ordinates
- Performs administrative functions
- Perform driving functions
- Cutting and trimming of trees
- Maintenance of parks, sport grounds and open spaces
- Application of weedkiller and fertilizer.

POSITION: FOREMAN: SEWER PUMP STATIONS (LANGEBAAN)
T9 (Estimated CTC R 421 063.57 p.a.)
Basic Salary: T9 (R 261 323.40 – R 339 214.32 p.a)
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10
- 3 – 5 years verifiable water and sewerage network relevant experience
- Valid Code EB or C1 driver’s license with PrDP
- Good communication skills in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

Duties will entail:
- Oversee a small group of workers performing basic/elementary sewer collection and water reticulation functions • Performs the same work but leads the team
- Operational supervisor/driver duties
- Works independently & under general supervision/instruction
- Opening and shutting valves, including gate, pressure release & scour valves
- Performs repairs/maintenance on domestic and communal water supply system
- Operate & perform maintenance work on sewer pump stations and pressure booster pumps
POSITION: GENERAL ASSISTANT: ROADS & STORMWATER (LANGEBAAN & HOPEFIELD)
T3 (Estimated CTC R 248 835.55 p.a.)
Basic Salary: T3 (R 128 938.56 – R 151 469.28 p.a)
Applicants must be in possession of a:
- Grade 8
- 6 – 12 months relevant municipal road & construction maintenance experience
- Preference will be given to people residing within the Langebaan / Hopefield area
- Good communication skills in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

POSITION: RELIEF CASHIER / CLERK
Applicants must be in possession of a:
- Grade 12 with accounting
- 2-5 years relevant experience of which 2 years must be supervisory experience
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Valid code B driver’s license
- Good communication skills in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
- Work well under pressure
- Capable to work with the public and handle large amounts of money.
Duties will entail:
- Serves as an enquiry clerk or cashier at the different finance satellite offices or at the main finance office
- Performs tasks/ activities associated with the receiving and receipting of payments for services from the public
- Providing information and explain charges and penalties on consumer

municipal account - Reconciliation of daily totals against received and preparing of schedules for verification prior to forwarding cash and cheques for depositing
- Provide a public service to debtors, creating and maintaining of records, handling of account enquiries
- Applying councils Debt Collection and Credit control-, Indigent- and Property rates Policies
- When acting as Senior Clerk at satellite office supervision of subordinates
- Serves as balancing clerk to cashiers
- Applying all councils policies and safeguarding of councils properties in respective area of responsibility
- Ensure that the satellite office is operating effective and efficiently
- Maintain good customer relations.
