The Appointee should:
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
- Successfully undergo a security screening and clearance
- Be in possession of a valid code EB (Code 08) driver’s license
- Be willing to undergo and successfully complete the Screening assessment
- Have knowledge of the various systems monitored in a Control Room, e.g. CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, X-Ray Viewing Systems, Access Control Systems, intercom systems, radio and telephone systems
- Have at least 3 years’ experience within a security control room in a mining environment
- Have a valid Grade C Psira Certificate
- Be in a possession of NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults)
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete incident reports and follow up
- CCTV surveillance monitoring with the aim of detecting any risks and movement of suspicious and / or criminal activities within range of cameras
- Investigative observation of cameras related to alarms and events triggered by the available systems
- Reviewing of historically recorded CCTV Surveillance footage related to incidents that have occurred
- • Monitoring Tasked / focussed observation of “Hot-Spot” areas that are prone to attacks by criminals and high-risk processes with the aim of detecting irregularities, breach of policies and procedures and criminal activity.
