Remuneration: R180,000 Annual Total Guaranteed Package
Position Purpose: The Marketing and Communication Intern is a graduate position whereby the intern will be trained for 6 months in Marketing and Communication general functions of the State Diamond Trader. After 6 months training, the Intern will provide administration functions/support to ensure visibility of the State Diamond Trader brand.
Requirements: NQF level 7 qualification degree in related fields of communication/journalism, marketing/Graphic Design.
Skills and Competences: Knowledge of a good article writing principles. Basic knowledge of management of social media platforms. Basic designing of social media posters. Strong organisation and attention to detail. Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to learn new programs. Needs to be responsible and have effective time management skills, which includes prioritising tasks effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow instructions.
Key Accountabilities: During the first six (6) months, the Intern will be trained to be able to execute below accountabilities: Creating communication media: presentations, posters and flyers. Circulate communication media to the targeted audience. Follow-up and management of press relations. Press impact analysis. Writing press materials. Coordination of digital communication channels: social media, mails, and website. Coordination of public relations: events, invitations, and information. Implement the media plan. Provide photographic services to SDT functions. Poster Development. Draft internal newsletters. Draft the Marketing and communication concept document. Provide assistance for the SDT brand material exhibition during events.
