The Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology, Dean’s office: Student Administration at the University of Pretoria (UP) is recruiting Interns for Student Support. UP offers this opportunity to candidates who wish to gain practical experience and exposure. This is in line with UP’s ‘Ready for Work’ initiative for UP graduates.
Interns’ responsibilities
The successful candidates will be placed in the department noted above. In general, the responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1) Student administration for undergraduate and postgraduate students, including admissions.
2) Liaising with a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
3) Delivering an exceptional and client-friendly service to students and all stakeholders involved in the student administrative processes at the University of Pretoria.
Prior work experience is not required.
All successful candidates will receive training/mentorship; thus, prior work experience is not required.

Candidate requirements
• BCOM/BAdmin UP Degree
• Languages: English (spoken and written);
• Between 18 and 35 of age; and
• South African citizen

Please note: The position is office-based and requires 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week on campus. Travel between campuses will occasionally be required. On most days the hours are 8 am-4:30 pm, with some slight variation.
