SACE

The South African Council for Educators (SACE) invites applications for its 2026/2027 Internship Programme from unemployed graduates who have completed their studies at accredited institutions of higher learning, as well as students who require experiential training to obtain their qualifications.

The internship programme provides an opportunity for young South Africans to gain valuable workplace experience and practical skills in various fields. Successful applicants will be appointed on an 18-month internship contract and receive a monthly stipend according to their qualification level.

  • Positions: Internship Programme
  • Duration: 18 Months
  • Stipend:
    • NQF Level 6: R5,000 per month
    • NQF Level 7: R6,500 per month
    • NQF Level 8: R7,500 per month
  • Location: Centurion (Gauteng), Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, and Free State
  • Closing Date: 07 July 2026

The internship programme offers valuable workplace exposure within a professional environment and is designed to equip young South Africans with practical skills and experience that will improve future employment prospects.

Successful candidates will be appointed on an internship contract for a period of 18 months and will receive a monthly stipend based on their qualification level.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be unemployed at the time of application
  • Must be 35 years of age or younger
  • Must have completed the relevant qualification or require experiential training to obtain the qualification
  • Must not have previously participated in an internship programme
  • Must be willing to sign an internship contract with SACE for the full duration of the programme
