Intercare Corporate Services situated in Lynnwood, Pretoria, seeks to recruit a Debtors Clerk. The focus of this position will be to handle debtors’ administration tasks relating to medical aid claims in order to minimize debtor’s days in a client friendly, yet effective manner.

CRITICAL OUTPUTS

  • Be familiar with the rules of the funders.
  • Ensure all accounts and short payments are followed up on after processing of remittances.
  • Remittance advices are reconciled accurately.
  • Manage the age analysis to ensure accounts are paid promptly.
  • Ensure only valid accounts are handed over to collection department for collection.
  • Ensure all write offs are in line with Company Policy and Procedure.
  • Be able to handle all patients and practice related queries in a professional manner, within required time frame.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum: Grade 12
  • Finance related qualification will be advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a debtor’s environment processing medical accounts advantageous
  • Understanding of Medical Accounts and Medical Aids
  • Knowledge of the  GoodX system will be advantageous
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised and able to tackle multiple tasks
  • Customer service orientation and team player
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Attention to detail
