Pipe Tracks and Ventilation (PTV)
Location: West Wits
Responsibilities:
- Making working construction area safe.
- Installation of support and equipment where necessary.
- Reporting abnormal activities.
- Installation and suspension of pipes according to standards.
- Effecting the barring of the area and cleaning the construction area.
- Ensuring a high standard of safety in the area.
- Operation of all mechanical equipment/tools.
Experience:
- Minimum 24 months experience in underground mining support roles.
- No limitations to working in confined spaces and heights.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Grade 12/Matric.
- Competent B certification.
- Certificate of fitness and ability to pass heat stress tests.
- Strong technical understanding of mining infrastructure.

Rock Drill Operator
Location: West Wits
Responsibilities:
- Prepares the drilling face and barricades area off.
- Installs, extends, and maintains services.
- Drills the panel as indicated according to requirements.
- Assembles and disassembles equipment.
- Charges and connects holes in the panel.
- Development/Stope Rock Drill Operator equipment maintenance.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3–4 years’ underground experience in the mining industry.
- Development and Steep Stope Operator experience will be advantageous.
