Mopani TVET College: In-Service Training Opportunities 2026

Mopani Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College is inviting applications from qualified graduates for In-Service Training placement opportunities. The programme is aimed at providing practical workplace experience to students who have successfully completed their N6 qualifications and require workplace exposure to complete the requirements for obtaining their National Diploma.

The placement programme presents an excellent opportunity for unemployed graduates to gain valuable industry experience, develop workplace competencies, and enhance employability. Successful candidates will be placed for a period of 18 months, allowing them to acquire practical skills aligned with their academic qualifications.

Available Programmes

The following programmes are available for In-Service Training placement:

  • Business Management

These placement opportunities are designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical workplace experience. Participants will be exposed to various operational functions related to their respective fields of study while developing professional skills required in the workplace.

Duration of Placement

Successful candidates will be appointed for an 18-month In-Service Training programme.

The placement period is intended to provide sufficient exposure to workplace environments and practical tasks associated with the candidates’ qualifications. The experience gained during the programme may contribute towards meeting the requirements for the awarding of a National Diploma, subject to the relevant qualification regulations.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have successfully passed N6.
  • Must have completed all subjects from N4 to N6.
  • A total of 12 subjects from N4 to N6 must have been successfully completed.
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
  • Must possess the relevant academic qualifications for the programme applied for.

Preference will be given to candidates who completed their N6 qualification at Mopani TVET College.

Purpose of the Programme

The In-Service Training programme aims to provide graduates with an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical workplace setting. Through structured workplace exposure, participants will gain experience in professional environments while strengthening technical and administrative competencies relevant to their qualifications.

The programme also seeks to improve graduate employability by exposing participants to real-world workplace practices, organisational procedures, communication systems, and professional conduct standards.

Workplace exposure remains an important component of vocational education and training, enabling graduates to become more competitive in the labour market and better prepared for future employment opportunities.

Selection Process

Applications will undergo a screening and evaluation process to determine eligibility and compliance with the minimum requirements.

A formal application letter indicating the programme being applied for and demonstrating suitability for the placement opportunity.

3. Certified Academic Documents

Certified copies of:

  • N4 Certificates or Statements of Results
  • N5 Certificates or Statements of Results
  • N6 Certificates or Statements of Results

Academic documents must clearly reflect successful completion of all required subjects.

4. Certified Copy of South African Identity Document

A clear certified copy of a valid South African Identity Document must accompany the application.

5. In-Service Training Letter

An official In-Service Training letter issued by the college confirming the requirement for workplace exposure.

6. Affidavit

An affidavit confirming that the applicant:

  • Is not currently enrolled in any SETA-funded programme.
  • Has not previously benefited from a SETA-funded programme.

Failure to submit any of the required documents may result in the application being disqualified.

Important Information
