Receiving Clerk Vacancies at Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine

Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Receiving Clerk (B4) within the Supply Chain Department. Two permanent positions are available for individuals who have experience in stores, materials handling, and receiving operations, particularly within the mining or plant environment.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates who are detail-oriented, organized, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining efficient inventory and receiving processes. The successful candidates will report directly to the Materials Controller or an appointed nominee and will play an important role in ensuring that all incoming materials are received, inspected, recorded, and stored according to company procedures and safety standards.

Position Overview
  • Job title: Receiving Clerk (B4)
  • Department: Supply Chain
  • Positions available: 2
  • Reference number: DCM/SC/RC
  • Reports to: Materials Controller or nominee
  • Location: Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine, Limpopo Province
  • Closing Date: 29 July 2026
Minimum Educational Requirements
  • Grade 12 / Standard 10 certificate is required to be considered for this position
  • A certificate in Basic Storekeeping or Office Administration is listed as advantageous

Candidates without a matric certificate are unlikely to be shortlisted. Those who hold an additional short course certificate should highlight it clearly on their CV, since it may help differentiate an application from others competing for the same two posts.

Experience Required
  • 2 to 3 years of materials handling or stores experience
  • Experience must have been gained in a plant or mining environment

This is a fairly specific requirement, and it suggests the mine wants candidates who already understand the pace and safety demands of an industrial receiving environment rather than someone starting from a general retail or warehouse background. Candidates who have worked in similar roles at other mines, smelters, or heavy industrial sites in Limpopo or Mpumalanga would likely be well positioned to meet this requirement.
