1. Project Coordinator
Minimum Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in project funding management.
- 3 years’ experience in a governmental funding environment (desirable).
- Knowledge of the arts, creative, and culture sector and grant-making processes.
- Support the Arts Development Manager and Project Manager in coordinating, overseeing, and managing project implementation.
- Create and update workflows and project plans.
- Monitor reports, documentation, and project progress.
- Manage projects to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Coordinate and implement the funding programme.
- Act as a point of contact for all stakeholders.
- Communicate at all organizational levels, including coordinating, managing, and reporting to adjudicating panels.
- Ability to work long and late hours for the duration of the project.
Minimum Education Requirement
- Project Management certification.
- National Diploma in Project Management/Office Administration or equivalent, NQF Level 6.
- Extensive Grant Management System (GMS) working experience.

2. Arts Development Officers (x2)
Minimum Requirements
- More than 6 years’ relevant experience in the arts with local, continental, and global exposure.
- Manage grant application processes and awards.
- Process funding management as per the project plan.
- Provide effective risk assessment and management for grants.
- Implement and monitor financial control measures.
- Demonstrate problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Show understanding of the economic, educational, and social value of the arts.
- Monitor and evaluate funded projects.
- Extensive skills, knowledge, and experience in formal and informal sectors.
- Strong project management, communication, and financial acumen skills.
- Sound knowledge of South Africa’s arts, culture, and heritage sector.
- Ability to work long and late hours for the duration of the project.
Minimum Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Arts or Public Administration, Arts Management, or equivalent (NQF Level 8).
- Demonstrate knowledge of developments and trends in Craft, Music, Visual Arts, Literature, Multidiscipline, Dance, and Theatre.

3. Junior Arts Development Officers (x2)
Minimum Requirements
- 2-3 years’ working experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Sound knowledge of South Africa’s arts, culture, and creative sector.
- Extensive experience in reviewing projects.
- Manage deliverables against agreed timelines.
- Provide regular reports as required.
- Good MS Excel skills.
- Represent the NAC at technical committee meetings.
- Prepare and provide documentation to internal teams and stakeholders.

- Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
- Assist with administrative support.
- Ensure administrative processes are properly set up and aligned.

- 1-3 years’ experience as an HR Officer.
- 1-3 years’ experience in both public and private sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of HR administration.
- Knowledge of SA labour legislation.
- Knowledge of HR systems (HR Premier an advantage).
- Conduct background and qualification checks.
- Ability to work long and late hours for the duration of the project.

- National Diploma in Human Resources or relevant field (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (advantage).

7. Marketing and Communications Officer
Minimum Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in communication, marketing, or journalism, with at least 2 years at mid-management level.
- Proven project management experience with a track record of delivering objectives.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of a Brand Communication Strategy, including a technology-driven social and digital media strategy with monthly deliverables.
- Manage, monitor, and control internal and external communication initiatives through various channels (print, online, email, leadership articles, newsletters, press releases, presentations, etc.).
- Coordinate multimedia content and digital publications for the website, intranet, and social media.
- Write and edit for media relations and digital media strategies.
- Solid editing and researching skills.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) for stakeholder engagements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the arts sector.
- Ability to do basic design work and use design programs.
- Ability to write innovative content across platforms.
