Role Outline

The Finance Clerk role involves the daily capturing of waybills for preparation and processing to ensure financial control over client contracts. The position requires accurate and timely billing of client activities in line with contractual timelines, maintaining precision and efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect waybills daily for preparation and processing.
  • Verify and check the weight and volumetric details of waybills against client contracts.
  • Maintain a daily schedule of incoming waybills.
  • Scan and label all DHL client waybills into Oculus daily.
  • Ensure all documents are properly signed and distributed.
  • Process bills, checks, receipts, and other financial documents.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with other departments.
  • Capture waybills accurately into relevant systems.
  • Provide support to the Business Unit (BU) in recovering outstanding payments.
  • Assist with capturing and scanning Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
  • Support the capturing of petty cash transactions.
  • Scan petty cash supporting documents for record-keeping and audit purposes.
  • Analyze loads planned on DCT to ensure correct rates are applied.
  • Participate in finance-related projects, including audits and asset verification.
  • Prepare accurate and complete billing files on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for clients.
  • Validate billing information against PODs and system data where available.
  • File PODs with Metrofile as per client contractual agreements.
Qualifications, Skills, Competencies, and Experience
  • Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance Management (advantageous).
  • Knowledge of client requirements and customer needs.

  • English (proficiency required).
