
The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development invites interested and suitably qualified individuals to apply for Administration Clerk positions within the Master of the Western Cape and Goodwood offices. The Department’s mandate is to ensure an accessible justice system within South Africa’s vibrant and evolving constitutional democracy by enabling access to justice for all, promoting constitutionalism, the rule of law, and respect for human rights, as well as coordinating State Litigation and Legal Advisory Services.
These positions present an opportunity for dynamic individuals with relevant competencies to contribute to the effective delivery of justice services to the people of South Africa. Successful candidates will be expected to support administrative, personnel, supply chain, and financial functions within the Department, while upholding professional standards, ethical conduct, and a commitment to public service excellence.

All shortlisted candidates, including SMS candidates, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements, and the other will be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment.
A pre-entry certificate obtained from the National School of Government (NSG) is required before appointment for all SMS positions. Candidates will be required to complete a financial disclosure form and also undergo a security clearance.
Foreigners or dual citizenship holders must provide a Police Clearance Certificate from their country of origin only when shortlisted.
