
The Department of Social Development invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of NPO Administration Clerk (X4 Posts), with a salary of R228 321 per annum (Level 05). The posts are available under Provincial Office Ref No: DSDFS 33/26 (X2 Posts) and Thabo Mofutsanyana District Ref No: DSDFS 34/26 (X2 Posts). Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and no previous experience is required. The successful candidates will be responsible for rendering general clerical support services, capturing and retrieving correspondence and data, maintaining filing systems, handling routine enquiries, and providing supply chain and financial administration support within the component.

Entry level requirements for SMS posts: In terms of the Directive on Compulsory Capacity Development, Mandatory Training Days & Minimum Entry Requirements for SMS that was introduced on 1 April 2015, a requirement for all applicants for SMS posts from 1 April 2020 is a successful completion of the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme as endorsed by the National School of Government (NSG) prior to appointment.

The competency assessment will be testing generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMS competency assessment tools. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment.
Successful candidates will be appointed on a probation period of twelve (12/24) months. Misrepresentation in the application documents will result in automatic disqualification and disciplinary action in the event the candidate has already been appointed.
