The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Social Worker Grade 1 (X12 posts) at the Mangaung Maximum Correctional Centre in the Free State and Northern Cape Region. The successful candidates will provide needs-based social work services to offenders through individual, group, and community interventions, research, and social work administration. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, monitoring and evaluating interventions, managing resources, and handling performance information. Applicants must hold a BA Degree in Social Work, be registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions, be computer literate, and possess a valid driver’s licence (except for applicants with disabilities).
