GENERAL WORKERS (26 POSTS)

(Umzimkhulu Satellite x15, Ubuhlebezwe Satellite x9 and Dr Ndz Satellite x2)

Salary:

  • Salary Grade: T3
  • Salary Range: R132,227.94 – R152,426.17 per annum
  • Plus applicable benefits

Job Requirements:
  • Grade 9 / Standard 7 or equivalent qualification.
  • 6 to 12 months experience in gardening or related general labour services.
  • Ability to use basic tools and equipment such as lawnmowers, shears, spades, picks, etc.
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour duties.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Clearing overgrown shrubs, bushes, and vegetation.
  • Performing gardening and grounds maintenance tasks.
  • Cleaning and removing blockages, debris, and alien vegetation in treatment plants and other work areas.
  • Assisting in fastening slings, ropes, and guiding or holding materials and equipment during work.
  • Preparing and mixing materials such as concrete and mortar when required.
  • Cleaning tools and equipment and replacing nylon cutting lines on machinery.
  • Checking and replenishing fuel for equipment and tools.
  • General cleaning, housekeeping, and support duties as directed by the supervisor.
