Security Officer

Minimum Requirements
- Applicants must be in possession of a General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) or Grade 9 (Standard 7).
- Appropriate experience as a Security Officer within a healthcare environment or similar institutional setting is required.
- Registration with the Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) as a Grade C Security Officer is mandatory.
- Candidates must also hold a valid Code B/EB driver’s licence.

Duties include conducting patrols of fenced areas and facilities, ensuring effective access and exit control to prevent unauthorized entry or removal of persons, vehicles, equipment, or dangerous objects, and monitoring surveillance camera systems and fire alarm systems.
The role further involves identifying suspicious activities, preventing theft and unlawful entry, and safeguarding hospital departments and entrances. The Security Officer will also ensure the effective use of security equipment and provide support to supervisors in maintaining service delivery standards.
